Become the Woman You Always Looked Up To: A Roadmap to Self-Actualization

There was a time when I would look at women who seemed radiant, grounded, and unapologetically themselves — and wonder how they got there.

I didn’t know then that I was planting the seeds to become that woman myself.

Whether it was a strong fictional heroine, a wise aunt who always smelled like cocoa butter and spoke in affirmations, or a quiet version of myself in my daydreams — I carried an image. A guide. A woman I wanted to become.

But this journey isn’t about chasing a polished ideal or pretending you’ve already arrived. It’s about becoming your truest, most whole self the version of you who lives from her values, who speaks kindly to herself, and who creates a life that feels like peace.

Let’s walk the path of becoming her, together.

Understanding Your Ideal Self

Before you become her, you need to meet her.

Your ideal self isn’t a fantasy — she’s a reflection of the qualities, habits, and values you already admire. But instead of existing only in your mind or inspiration board, she begins to take shape when you consciously choose to embody her.

Ask Yourself:

  • What does she believe in?

  • How does she carry herself?

  • How does she treat herself in moments of fear or failure?

This is the foundation of personal alignment — the invisible thread that pulls you forward when the path feels unclear.

Describe a day in her life. From how she wakes up to how she winds down. What thoughts does she think? What choices does she make that you can start choosing today?

Identifying Your Role Models (Internal & External)

We’re often shaped by those we admire — not just in their achievements, but in their essence.

Maybe you admire Michelle Obama’s grace, Rihanna’s confidence, or your grandmother’s resilience. Even fictional characters like Tiana, Hermione, or Nakia from Black Panther can leave blueprints behind.

These are not just crushes or casual fandoms — they are reflections of your soul recognizing its potential.

Actionable Step: Create a Role Model Board. Use Pinterest or Canva. Collect images, quotes, and colors that represent the energy of the women you admire. Then, identify the shared qualities among them — those are likely the parts of you that are ready to awaken
